Vitamin Sea: Anvaya Cove

Just a few hours drive from the city, Anvaya Cove in Bataan is my family's go-to place to relax and recharge during the weekend.
The time spent here is what you make of it - you can 100% relax and just lounge by the pool or the beach with some drinks, or engage in outdoor activities; they've got several watersports activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. as well as hiking trails and obstacle courses.
We timed one of our visits on a weekend when Anvaya held a ceremonial turtle release. The eggs hatched the night before, and the tortuguitas were released at 7 AM with families cheering them on. After the turtle release ceremony, we visited the nearby Turtle Conservation Center to learn more about the efforts locals and volunteers were putting into conserving these amazing, peaceful animals. It is always such a pleasure to be away from the city, away from all the grays you see in buildings and concrete. This beach baby requires periodic exposure to sun and sand!
I'll have to say bye to the beach for the next few months seeing as rainy season has arrived and the weather is pretty unpredictable. Gotta find a different happy place until then. Xx ☯ ☮
